Terms of Use
Effective November 3, 2026
These terms apply when you use Riveora: the website, the dashboard, the API and the software development kit (“SDK”) you add to your app (together, the “Service”). “Riveora”, “we” and “us” mean the provider of the Service. “You” means the person or organisation that creates an account. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm you’re allowed to accept them on its behalf.
1. What Riveora does
Riveora records how people use your mobile app (screens, taps, errors, network requests and events your app sends), analyses it, and shows the results in your dashboard. Estimates such as lost sales, revenue figures and “what makes people buy” are statistical estimates, not guarantees or financial advice. Use them to decide what to look into, and check important decisions yourself.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old and give accurate sign-up details.
- Keep your password and project keys safe. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think your account or a project key has been misused.
- Project keys identify your app and are built into it, so they aren’t secret. Delete a project to stop all data sent with its key.
3. Your app’s users and their data
Data the SDK collects from people who use your app (“End-User Data”) belongs to you. For that data, you decide what is collected and why, and we process it only on your behalf to provide the Service. You are responsible for:
- Having a legal basis to collect it, including consent where the law requires it. The SDK has a consent switch, and nothing is sent until it’s granted.
- Telling your users about Riveora in your own privacy policy.
- Meeting app store rules, including Apple’s App Privacy details and Google Play’s Data safety section.
- Not sending us sensitive data on purpose: passwords, payment card numbers, government IDs, health data, or data about children under 13 (or the age set by your local law).
If you need a data processing agreement, write to us and we’ll provide one. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or help anyone else to, using the Service.
- Use the Service to track people across other companies’ apps or websites, or to build ad profiles.
- Try to identify people your data shows as anonymous, against their wishes or the law.
- Access other customers’ data, test our security without written permission, or get around usage limits.
- Overload the Service, send it malicious code, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.
- Resell the Service or use it to build a competing product.
5. Plans, payment and limits
- New accounts get a free trial, with no card needed. It starts by itself once real people use your apps, not while you’re testing them, and its length and the exact rule are shown on our pricing page and in your dashboard. When the trial ends without a paid plan, new events are paused until you choose one. Your existing data stays in your dashboard.
- Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in US dollars and excluding tax, which is added at checkout where it applies. Some yearly plans include extra free months, as shown on our pricing page.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and we never see your full card number. Your invoices and receipts are sent by Stripe on our behalf.
- Buying a plan ends the free trial and is charged straight away. Events your apps sent during the trial in the current month don’t count towards your first paid month.
- Each plan includes a number of events each month, counted for all your apps together, and a number of apps. Your current usage is shown in your dashboard. Going over never costs extra: if your apps send more events than your plan includes, we keep collecting up to twice that number and let you know. After that, new events are paused until the next month or until you move to a bigger plan, and events sent while collection is paused may be lost.
- If you have more apps than your plan includes (for example after your plan ends), your newest apps stop collecting until you delete apps or choose a bigger plan. To move to a plan with fewer apps, delete the apps you don’t need first.
- To protect the Service, each app can also send only a limited number of events per day. Events over that limit are kept on the device and sent later where possible.
- If you change plans, the difference is charged or credited straight away.
- You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and then new events are paused until you choose a plan again. Payments aren’t refunded, except where the law requires it.
- We may change prices. We’ll tell you at least 30 days before a change affects you, and it applies from your next billing period.
- If a payment fails, we keep collecting while our payment provider tries again. If it still can’t be collected, new events are paused until the payment is fixed, and we may limit or suspend your account.
6. Our software and your feedback
We own the Service, including the dashboard, the API and the SDK. While your account is active, you may install the SDK in your apps and use the Service for your own business. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
7. Third-party services
Some features connect to other services you choose to use, such as Google sign-in or RevenueCat. Their own terms apply to those services, and we aren’t responsible for them.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service running and your data safe, but we can’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features. If we remove something important to a paid plan, we’ll tell you in advance.
9. Suspension and ending
- You can delete projects in the dashboard at any time. To close your account, write to us at support@riveora.com from the email address you signed up with.
- Deleting a project is permanent. We don’t keep a copy, so we can’t restore a deleted project or its data, even if you ask us to. Make sure you no longer need it before you delete it: the decision is yours, and so is the responsibility for it.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the Service or others at risk, or that the law requires us to act on. Where we reasonably can, we’ll warn you first.
- When an account is closed, we delete its data as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no other promises, including that it fits a particular purpose or that its estimates are accurate.
11. Limit of liability
As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$100 if that is more. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
12. Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of your app, the data you send us, or your breach of these terms, you’ll cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes, we’ll tell you by email or in the dashboard at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using the Service after that, the new terms apply. If you don’t agree, you can close your account.
14. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Riveora is established, and its courts handle disputes. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live.
- If part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
- Not enforcing a right straight away doesn’t mean we give it up.
- You may not transfer your account without our agreement. We may transfer these terms if our business changes hands.
- These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
